Hi there. Janice and Dave back with another video. This time we take you on a hike in Algonquin Park, Ontario. We explored the Track and Tower Trail.
Ontario Highway 60 is the main road through Algonquin Park. The Track and Tower trailhead is at km marker 25 on the south side. It is well signed so you can’t miss it. The trail is a loop about 7.5 km long, offering a spectacular view of Cache Lake as your reward when you reach the summit.
Parts of the trail go along the old Ottawa, Arnprior and Parry Sound Railway, which was decommissioned a very long time ago. You’ll see remnants of old trestles and railway ties along the way.
Check out the video to see what we’re talking about.
